Hey all,
I am looking for a cheap setup to use to record in my apartment. I will just be recording acoustic/electric guitar, bass + vocals and mixing it with midi drums ect.

Anyway what is the best route to go about here? My friend has a mixer, cheap condenser mic, and just uses free software like Audacity or Krystal.

That seems like the best way to go, any recommendations on best gear to get for the price?

I'd like to stay under $200 for everything if I could. Thanks.

I keep recommending it over and over: TASCAM US-122L [or] 224, depending on your needs.

In my world, the color RED doesn't exist.

The system has encountered a fatal error [1809]: 'YourOpinion' var has no set value.

Second the US-122, with an SM57 and a popshield, and a large-diaphragm condensor planned for the future.

With pedals you can throw your guitar down for an impromptu pedal drone solo, whereas if you did that on a rack it would just look like you were programming your washing machine.
