So i was just watchin a few LOG and Gojira vids and i realy love their tone/sound.

Im wondering what amp head/combo would get me close to their sound
Only propblem is i cant really have a loud amp, so like 30 watt tube is gonna be loud enough,

so i would like a high gain, 1/2/3 channel amp head or combo,
what you got idea wise?

budget im not bothered about, just dont go wild please
and im in the UK
and yes i can go used

Only just saw it. What is your exact budget? And you can't go loud because it is home use? No gigging?

LoG and Gojira have pretty different tones IMO.

Pretty sure LoG Is Mesa Mark series amps, and Gojira started with Marshall, then went dual rectifier, then went EVH 5150 and are now using Peavey 6505. Not sure though.

If its just for practise and you can't go loud maybe look into a Line6 Vetta. Pretty hard to nail both LoG and Gojira in one amp I think.

Not gigging yet. Home use mainly like you said.
I'm after I high gain low wattage amp really. Prefer a tube amp tho.

Budget call it £700 mark

Low wattage tube amps for high gain tend to not really work as they lack the headroom and become muddy/mushy. An HT-5 with an OD might be worth a shot though, or an ENGL screamer. Screamer is 50 watts but sounds decent at low volumes.

My HT-5 with an OD is just feedback and noise even with my ISP plugged it too. The screamer was my next bet on an amp.
Just wondering what everyone else thought

My vote goes to the screamer.

can you go modelling?
a Vetta is a good replacement for a tube amp

but if you dont wanna go Vetta, the Screamer is ok
