My Blackstar HT-5 arrived today. I'm feeling largely apathetic today for some reason, so I didn't take pics. Here's a stock one instead:

It's quite nice. I traded in a couple old pedals I don't use anymore and, coupled with a coupon, got head (lololol) for only $130. It was a slightly blind buy, seeing as I had plugged into one for about a minute a couple months ago while trying out a guitar. But I figured, "hey, for $130 I really can't go wrong." And I didn't.

However, could someone give me a god setting for some 80s metal ala early Metallica? Thanks much.

I'm guessing the ISF should be set to UK, right?

meh...

That is all you get from me because there isn't enough pictures of the amp to give you a HNAD.

Question- could I possibly run my Vetta into the power amp of the HT-5? Give it some tube feel?

Yes, run the vetta effects send into the HT-5 effects return

So it would run like:

Vetta digital preamp----HT-5 tube poweramp?

Bingo.

Ok. So I then proceed to turn both of them on, and the sound should be coming out of the Blackstar's cab, correct?

Yeah.

Guitar > Vetta, Vetta effects loop send > Blackstar effects loop return, Blackstar > cab.

You'll be using the vetta preamp and the blackstar poweramp.

Most likely. Maybe the effects loop of the vetta is parralel or disengaged? Make sure its on and 100% wet.
#19
So if the Vetta effects loop is parallel then it is impossible to run the Vetta preamp into the HT-5 power amp?
#20
Damn, thats a sweet little set up you got there chap.

Try putting a cable into the effects loop return and try then.

Also, you'll need a cable in the input of the HT-5 and the Send of the loop for it to work.

I think.

I believe it is parallel. Just turn it to 100% wet and it should work.
