Hey guys...

I have an oppurtunity to buy a Peavey Encore 65 watt 112 all tube amp. The guy is asking 200 dollars. It comes with a foot switch and new sovtek tubes.

This will be my first tube amp. I plan on playing with a drummer bass and another guitar in a practice space we plan on renting out.

Will this amp be loud enough over the drums? I assume so.

Is this a good deal?

Thanks for the input guys.

65 watts is not only loud enough for band practise, it will go without mic'ing at gigs and has sufficient volume to cause long term hearing problems.

woo, I thought as much. I played a peavey classic 30 112 at Garbage Center and I cranked it so loud. I just wasn't sure since the Peavey Encore is from the 80's.

My wife is gonna love this....she hates when I buy guitar ****

the classic 30 is loud...the 65 watter will have about 3dB more power.

ive never used a peavey encore, but most tube amps from the 80s seem pretty sturdy.
