I have. xD

Guthrie Govan is the most underrated and also the greatest guitarist of all time I'd say.

Im gonna say (haters be hatin') Billie Joe Armstrong. Listen to the older stuff, great solos. Apparently he played Eruption the other night flawlessly. I mean, hes not a great great guitarist, but he's underrated. Just because someone creates simple music, doesnt mean they cant play/write more complicated stuff.

kris norris is pretty underrated. He played cool stuff for darkest hour, locust factor, solo work and other stuff but he can shred your face off. Brendon Small is awesome, Metalocalypse is actually on right now.

GUITARS CURRENTLY USED
Ibanez RG7621
Ibanez RG121
ESP LTD H-400

Brian Seltzer from the Stray Cats.

I can't even play most of his stuff, let alone sing it at the same time.

Gonna have to agree with whoever said Guthrie Govan, amazing player.

Also, Greg Howe is a very good guitar player.

Mike Campbell from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. He rarely lashes out... but when he does, he really shows that he's got some chops.

Rich Robinson of the Black Crowes. One of the greatest slide guitarists of his generation, member of a great band too that is underrated as well.

Peter Green, one of the all-time great blues musicians, but people tend to forget about him because when they hear "Fleetwood Mac" they think Stevie Nicks...

Johnny Winter, another guy you don't hear about much, he just wails on the guitar.

And... I might get flamed for this... but Ted Nugent can definitely shred as well. His politics kind of ruin it... but... a good guitarist.

EDIT: Oh, and I forgot! (thank you to an above poster) Brian Setzer! Great rockabilly guitarist, and a lot of his stuff is almost pure jazz/swing as well. Amazing technique, too.

I am mostly a political opposite of him (I agree with is views on hunting and gun control, but that's probably about it), but I can say he's a good guitarist and not underrated or overrated at all.

Man has some serious skill.

Rockabilly seems like a great music. I just never got to into it on a casual listening sense but I go to shows often and it might be my favorite kind of live music.

James "J.Y." Young (Styx), Lindsey Buckingham (Fleetwood Mac), etc.

EDIT: Also Neal Schon of Journey. Santana recruited him for his band when he was only 15.
