hey Pit my itunes lacks alot of classic old bands, ive been really getting into the beatles and was wondering what are the must have albums or the 60's 70's and 80's?

im not looking for nothing like death metal or dark and disturbing,
just normal 60' 70's 80's rock if that makes sense?

Thanks Pit.

Elton John's very first album.

Don't laugh, it's not really rock but it's amazing.

Edit:

If you want great old rock, look up Steppenwolf.

If you're getting into The Beatles, then I definitely recommend Electric Light Orchestra. I'd get Discovery, Out Of The Blue and New World Record to start off with

Look it up on google, there's way too many to name. Just get the greatest hits of all those famous bands. AC/DC, Cream, Floyd (Wall/Dark Side is all you REALLY need), Zeppelin, Van Halen, RHCP, Beatles, CCR, Spingrsteen, The Doors (Greatest hits and self titled album), Jimi, Jethro Tull, Jefferson Airplane, and maybe Joplin. Then Meat Loaf, definitely KISS's greatest hits, Ramones, Queen, The Police, Steppenwolf, Styx, The Who, and the Stones.

That's the best and if you want an album or two from each of those then it would take a while to make a list. That's just off the top of my head too.
There be no shelter here.

Cream - Disraeli Gears.
Led Zeppelin - Entire Discography
Anything involving Hendrix

That's pretty much all I need.

THE must have old album. 70's psych-prog fans should all know and love this album.

EDIT:
It doesn't seem to be showing up, it's Nektars "Remember the Future" album. it's only 2 songs long, but they're both 12+ minutes, and they tell the story of a blind boy who meets aliens. It's amazing.

EDIT:
