I want to change pickups for my epiphone les paul standard. Its sounds muddy and dull. i play blues, funk, classic rock (GNR, ac/dc, led zeppelin), punk,a bit of jazz and sometimes metal (iron maiden, metallica, megadeth..)

I was thinking

Seymour duncan 59' for both neck and bridge
or
Seymour duncan pearly gates for both neck and bridge
or
Seymour duncan pearly gates neck and 59' bridge
or
Gibson 57' classic neck and 57' classic plus for bridge
or
maybe Dimarzio Air classics for neck and bridge

i heard people saying that the pearly gates and gibson 57+ have a bit too much treble when used in bridge position. and the 59' sounds bassy on the neck. is this true?

WTF are you talking about dude? Bareknuckles are made in the UK. You can order them direct from their website. And yes, the prices are in pounds.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't see the "don't."
But you can import them...

I take payment in USD and I'm not charging shipping for UG'ers paying in USD at the moment

To choose from your list of options I'd say go the the pearly gates/59 combo

If you want to play punk and metal, which is what you listed in the OP, you're gonna need a Humbucker in the bridge with more output. I dont think a '59 in the bridge will get you a great metal tone.

You may want to switch out the pots while you're at it.

doesnt mark morton of Lamb Of God use a set of 59's? i think his metal tone is kinda good. and i only play 80's metal (metallica, medageth, iron maiden etc) which i dont think uses a lot of gain compared to nowadays metal bands..

Yup

You can get great metal tone with low output pickups, you just need the right amp.
