I'm new to humbuckers and wiring. I'm trying to wire some humbuckers to my strat to create a H-H system. 2 Humbuckers, 1 Tone, 1 Volume, 3-Way switch. Do the humbuckers have to be the same model for both, or can I mix it up?
Mix away but probably keep to passives and have a bridge one slightly more powerful than the neck one. This is usually the case if you buy a matched pair, but not always.
BTW Iron Gear pickups are brilliant value.

Actually, it is recommended that they be different models (to the effect that there are pickups designed to be put in the neck and bridge positions) but if you were just wondering about mixing makes/models, yes its fine, many people do that.
