So I'm gonna be getting a new Godin bass soon. I go to Long & McQuade and they said I can trade in my old bass and get $160 off the new one. It's an Ibanez GSR205FM, and I got it at the same store new for $280. It's still in excellent condition without a single dent. Could I get a better price selling it to a person or is $160 the best I can get?

If you eBay it, you can get more, but that's pretty high for a shop.

yeah thats not too bad for a shop i would take it, seeing as you may only get 200 selling it used.

Actually they told me they would sell it for 200, but I figure used stuff in shops is always overpriced anyway.

I'd agree with JagerSlushy, if you go online you might do better, but if you want the convenience of selling it at the shop that's not a bad price at all.
