Hi! I have genuine jbass fender pickups and they are too bright for me...
is there any mod i could do to make them sound fatter but without using an EQ?

arent they by fender wired by series?
more over how could i adjust the volume if i wire them in series?

it has a tone knob but i dont like passive EQs they just cut Freqs...

You can leave the controls set the same way with 2 volumes and a master tone, and no they're wired in parallel as standard.

if i wire them in series i can only use the one volume pot?
Also are there many bassists that wire them in series?

I think you'd be better replacinga volume with a push-pull pot so that you can switch between having both parallel and series wiring as seen here.

But as for actually wiring them straight in series, you'd be better off asking in the wiring thread.
