I recently purchased i Schecter Omen Extreme 6 FR in the See-thru black color. and i just got it, but i found a small chip in the finish exposing bare wood (not their fault). So, i need to patch this up somehow. Ive searched, for starters, what kind of finish they used, (cellulose based etc, but i've no clue. maybe someone can give me a tip on what kind of finish it is, or anyway to patch it nicely. doesn't need to be perfect, but i hate seeing the rough crack, and exposed wood. Thanks

If I remember right, you can get 'lacquer pens' that will paint over it... you put on a few coats of that and sand it flat. it wouldn't be see-thru black, but it would definitely be black.

have a sizzlin day,
