Well it's active pickups vs passive, and rosewood vs maple. I'd take the dk2m, but it's just preference really. How much are you going to spend on an amp?

DKMG imo unless you really want actives

If all you play is metal then go the DXMG
If you play other stuff as well then go the DKMG
The gear:

* Epiphone Les Paul Custom
* Schecter Jeff Loomis Signature 7 String
* Fender Squier P Bass
* Blackstar Stage HT-60
* Original Crybaby
* EHX Small Clone
* Boss DD-3

Wow a lot of bad advice in here. Both guitars have passives. The DXMG has EMG HZ's while the DK2M has Seymour Duncan JB/Jazz combos. Not only that, they have different woods (basswood in DXMG and Alder in DK2M) and the neck materials are different.

I'd take the DK2M over the DXMG anyday.

Most metal bands that don't use active pickups use Seymour Duncan JBs...so yes, they are good for metal.
