What's the best guitar for some one who plays almost anything but metal for around $700 dollars? Many thanks.

What amp do you play? Otherwise if you just want guitar recommendations then Fender fat strat, epiphone les paul + coil split.

Ok is that your budget for both guitar and amp or just for guitar?
Fender 72 Tele Thinline (my baby)
Gibson SG Special Faded
ESP LTD M-1000
Peavy Vk 112
Boss GT-10

Can you give me your main style of music? How long you've been playing?

We're gonna need a few things to go on, how good guitars around that price range are can be very subjective.

My main style is classic rock from the 70's to 90's

I've been playing for 8 years, and i'd lile a very good guitar.

Oh okay, I understand then.
Well to add to the topic, you can really get a great guitar for less than 700,
I got my MH400 for 500, and I love it.
ESP/LTD make GREAT guitars in around your price range.

I am looking for the same thing you are. I have been going to every music store and playing everything. So far I am leaning towards a PRS SE. To me it seems like the best guitar around that price range.

PRS SE's are pretty nice,
sound good for the price,
but obviously not as great as the higher end PRS models.

Washburn Wi66 Pro

Beat me to it, first time someone's ever beaten me to a Washburn recommendation.
It is a brilliant guitar, highly rated (I've never seen a bad thing written about it), and it can play any genre.
