so i want your opinion on a question. i have to answer it for school, and wanted to know what you think.

Why do human beings bother creating civilizations and societies at all?
Should we bother?
Why or why not?
I'm not gay, a lot of people think I'm gay. I have a girlfriend, she thinks I'm gay.

To provide support and protection to each other. Also because its an innate human quality to seek companionship with other human beings.

J-Edit: Oh and to answer your other question, I think we should bother because things like health care are provided because you are part of a society.

Without societies, there would be no porn. Thus, societies are necessary for the very existance of the Pit.

This.

Humans live in herds. Sometimes herds get big. Sometimes, it's more productive to split up the labour so everyone gets what they need. In these cases, societies are created.

Fuck society.

This. I could write a wall of text answering but I don't feel like doing your homework.

We created societies so that the white man can express his superiority over the barbaric and uncivil minorities whom we have the moral duty to protect from their own ignorance and internal strife amongst each other.
#15
First you create society, how are you going to enslave it without it existing first?

because obviously youre too stupid to take care of yourself.

a human being is too domesticated to take care of itself in the wild. just like a cow cant survive on its own, a human cant either.

Aye, it just sort of happens. It's not like everyone sits together and asks "Hey, you guys wanna build some walls and shit and perhaps make up some culture? Get a nice society going? Perhaps add some religious beliefs? Some twists? Some king get assassinated, get a good plot going on? A prince becomes king and everyone becomes richer for the experience?" Nah you'll be fine.

And more importantly, no cow could turn itself into a Big Mac without help.

Which is why cows still survive in the wild today, and also survived for many a thousands of years by themselves?

Human societies were created in hopes that by working together, technology would one day make the internet possible. The desire for the internet was to make it possible for us to do your homework for you. So, you see, this was all exclusively for YOUR benefit. You should be proud and happy.

basically it started out as protection. mankind is not equipped with the same strength and abilities of all the much larger and ferocious animals that were present when man first appeared. without a large group, humans wouldve been killed off very quickly. They also discovered that working together would yield better results, like more resources.
#30
People inevitably group themselves with others based upon interests and other shared similarities. It's human nature. Even the people who are all ANTI SOCIETY OMG ANARCHY form their own groups.
They've always done it for protection and comfort in numbers I suppose you could call it.

actual domesticated cows can not survive in the wild. their sense organs have been atrophied so much that they cant defend themselves.

thousands of years ago cows were not domesticated as much as they are today.

There are still wild cattle out there, so hope for their species carries on if all humans were to vanish.

And besides, all they need to do is eat grass all day, how hard is that?

I agree. But it does just happen, the formation of societies aren't planned out. Humans found easier and more efficient ways of doing things, made homes, discovered agriculture, then it just snowballed i suppose.
#36
We should bother to. Societies give human beings not only a place to live, but a sense of belonging as well.

It's not something we consciously do. We normally just flock to other people who are similar to us. Plus we all want protection.
