OK, so first off, i am not planning to purchase a cab or head or anything now, this is just for my knowledge.

Is it better to get an amp head with the matching cab or getting a different cab.
So would it be better to get a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier with its matching 412 cab, or with say... a Vader 412 cab???

Choice is dependant on personal preference, as with any aspect of tone. Nothing is necessarily "better" or "worse".

ok, that i know, but generally, which is better?
I figure the matching cabs cos they are made for that head, then again matching cabs like the Valvekings arent that good

It really depends on what head/cab you're talking about, and what kind of overall sound you want. For example, the new Marshall Haze amps are relatively good, but cabs that come with them are utter crap. Generally, the higher end cabs will always be better than the matching cabs, unless said matching cabs are high end cabs.

in your opinion, Shiromar, which would be better?
A Mesa Boggie triple rec through a Mesa Cab
or the same head through a Vader Cab

It doesn't matter. Mix and match to your preference...

Vader. They sound a bit loose through a Recto cab.

Through an OS Recto cab, for sure. But through the standards, they seem to be fine.

The OS Recto are now just Recto. The standard are now the Stilleto. So yes, throught what used to be the standard, they sound just fine.
