If you are on a budget, dont bother with monitors.

Just get the Logitech z5500 5.1 system. You won't regret it.

(btw, for in ear monitors, check out the Ultimate Ears or Shure product line)

monitors are your best bet, and if you don't have enough for these http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/MAudio-Studiophile-AV40-Speakers?sku=600092 then i would suggest you save up because eventually you're gonna end up with monitors
periphery/bulb!

Ibanez RG7321 w/ D-sonic in bridge

Peavey 5150 mk ii & b52 4x12 cab

line 6 podxt for recording

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.

you want moniters or flat response headphones (basicly moniter headphones). since you are setting up a recording studio/system, i would start with a good pair of headphones. something around $100 is probably going to be good for entry level. ive got a pair of $30 or $40 ones that are ok, but i can really hear a difference when using my brother's nicer ones. however, i dont have much experience with moniters since most decent ones are going to cost around $100 each. that means $200 a pair for the most part if you want something ok. so unless you have a good sized budget, i would start with headphones.

those monitors look awesome i dont mind paying around $200 each for them lol, but i just need to know what would be the best bang for buck. plus i was hearing things about you cant use your computer screen while running the monitors :S. do they act as normal speakers or whats the go?

I was looking at the Pod UX2 myself to upgrade my old but still working Tascam us-428 usb interface. Looks good for everything you get with it.

Although for the same price I would get the UX2 from http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/Line-6-UX2-with-PF?sku=250004 instead of ebay.
