i just finished putting a amazing EVH black and white design on my guitar. now i am looking for lacquer and a easy way to polish it after. i think that i am going to buy http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Finishing_supplies/Finishes_and_solvents/ColorTone_Aerosol_Guitar_Lacquers/ColorTone_Aerosol_Guitar_Lacquer.html?tab=Instructions#details

for the lacquer. should i buy this? or are there better? should i sand the paint before i start to lacquer? and what is a good polish/ polishing technique that wont run me up $100?
