If you were to hypothetically kill yourself, what song would you want playing during your suicide and the days after when they find your body? Would it be peaceful? Angry? Morbid? Sad?

I'd play Z.Z.'s Song by Joe Satriani. While definitely not written for this purpose, and not especially depressing or anything, I do find it be very peaceful; and when I listen to it I always picture a lonely guitar player strumming the tune a few times before putting down his instrument and ending his life.

Don't Forget Me by Red Hot Chili Peppers, or Prime Time Deliverance by Matthew Good Band.

EDIT: Please Don't Go by Barcelona

idk about suicide, but a song i'd have playing after my death (if i could have one loop for eternity) would either be "The Trooper" by Iron Maiden or GG Allin's "You Hate Me and I Hate You"

Shelter or Without Wings, both by Corrosion Of Conformity.

And if you've seen me posting various CoC related things around here, yes I am completely obsessed with them.

I really don't know...I think I'd probably play Stairway to Heaven. I know it's a cliche, but it's easily my favourite song of all time.

Even though the amount of rock/metal I listen to is staggeringly greater than the amount of (progressive) trance I listen to, I'd have to loop Hybrid's Just For Today, no questions asked

Something by Queens of the Stone, like Sick Sick Sick, I'm Designer or Battery Acid.

That or Here Comes The Sun by the Beatles.

First of all, I wouldn't commit suicide.

But secondly...well I think that Try Not To Save Me by Two Tongues would be great. Or Blackbird by The Beatles.

In before Astley

Anyways,

NIN- "Right Where it Belongs", and cliche, but "Hurt"
Johann Sebastian Bach- "Air"
Local H- "Bound for the Floor"
Radiohead- "Motion Picture Soundtrack"
American Football- "Stay Home"
Felt- "All I Can Do"
King Crimson- "Epitaph"
Aesop Rock- "Daylight"
Smashing Pumpkins- "Mayonaise"
65daysofstatic- "Radio Protecter"
Cap'n Jazz- "Little League"
Sunny Day Real Estate- "47"

I think I would be too picky with my song choices to ever commit suicide that way

Exit Music (For a Film)- Radiohead

I must say that is one of the most depressing songs I've heard in a good while.
I can honestly say I have really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like.

I don't always post on UG, but when I do, I post in the Pit. Stay thirsty my friends.

I think I'd have the whole The Mantle album going on loop.

but if I was brutal I'd play

TWILIGHT OF THE THUNDER GOD - AMON AMARTH
BLEED - MESHUGGAH
PAINKILLER - JUDAS PRIEST
ONLY ASH REMAINS - NECROPHAGIST
ANNIHILATION OF THE WICKED - NILE
DEMIGOD - BEHEMOTH
WREATH - OPETH

yea I'm pretty brootal myself
Cette nuit j'ai rêvé que je mâchais ses yeux
Après avoir crevé par accès de furie
Ta replète panse d'helminthes blancs nourrie,
Trop prompte à déféquer le fruit d'un vit sanieux.

I gotta agree with this, but I'd probably leave a videotape behind too with my finals words or something.

Two songs
Page France - Feather (So perfect in sound and lyrics, especially the repeating "we will become a happy ending" part. The whole song just sounds like a goodbye)
and..
Porcupine Tree - Collapse the Light Into Earth (one of the prettiest sounding songs I've heard)
