Or what do you intend to pay for it, etc.

I was reading that one guy's thread about his parents not buying him a car, and was wondering what the pit payed for their first vehicle, and what it was.

$700 for a '92 Geo Prizm. I wouldn't recommend it; the thing caused me nothing but problems until it's transmission gave out on an Interstate during memorial day traffic.

Rebuild that shit!

There's no such thing as "failed" around here. Only "not yet fixed."

i have yet to actually purchase a car, so $0 so far. thats not really a good thing. ive had 3 hand me down cars:

1993 Ford Windstar - with teal minivan at 16, how could i not get laid?
1995 Ford Taurus - so hilariously crappy that it actually made me miss the minivan.
1988 Toyota Camary station wagon - so crappy that it makes me miss the taurus, but its slightly better than nothing.
.
..
...
I have no opinion on this matter.

First car was a 95' toyota tercel dx. I paid $2100 years ago and that thing got 40 highway and 35 in town. I beat the hell out of that thing for years without any problems.

$2,400

My parents paid for it initially since I had just gotten a job and couldn't afford to buy one on my own.

I paid them back the full $2,400.

She was awesome:

1993 Nissan NX2000

Unfortunately the head gasket was going bad about a year ago and I decided to get rid of it rather than invest a lot in fixing it. Luckily my parents were looking for a new car, so they traded mine in and gave me their old car.

1998 Honda Accord V6

It has been reliable so far.

I was lucky enough to inherit mine (if you call that lucky). '89 Toyota Corolla Seca. Hasn't failed me yet and is as reliable as you'd like. I plan on buying a ute (or a pickup if you call it that). I plan on spending somewhere between $5000 and $8000 on it. I need it for work.

Well my first car was a hand me down 1997 Pontiac Sunfire. I sheared a motor mount and sold it to some Mexican... lol

My second car was an 1988 Mustang LX. I drove that for a while then blew the oil pump coming home from the store. I bought that one for about $800.

My third car was a 1994 Geo Storm. I paid $1300 for it and it was a piece of sh*t.

My fourth car was a 1996 Cavalier. I got that one from my mom, but she still drove it and spun a bearing so it was pretty much useless after that.

My fifth car was a 1991 Honda Accord. That car rocked! It got 35 mpg and would not die. I sold it after I got in a wreck which ripped the front end off just in front of the radiator. It still drove just fine actually but things started going wrong with it after that. That car was given to me by my father.

My sixth car was a 1995 Pontiac Firebird. It was nice but had an oil leak and the car place wouldnt fix it so I blew the motor and gave it back to them. lol

My seventh car was a 1989 Mazda RX-7. I loved that car but one day my stepdad put water in the radiator instead of antifreeze and it blew a bunch of coolant seals. I only paid like $1000 for it.

My eighth car was a 1974 Chevy C10 pickup. That truck was my baby but it didnt have a heater so I sold it off. I paid $2300 for it.

My ninth car was a 1999 Dodge Neon. It was ok but the transmission linkage snapped and the car place again wouldnt fix it so I let that one go back too. I only lost a couple hundred bucks...

My tenth vehicle was an 84 Kawasaki KZ305. I kept it for a while and sold it for the $800 I paid for it when I wanted something bigger.

My eleventh vehicle was a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 which I got from my stepdad and later gave to my brother.

My twelfth vehicle was a 96 Yamaha YZF 600R which was fun but had a broken second gear. I paid $1400 for it and sold it for $1000.

My thirteenth car, and current one, is a 1997 Subaru Impreza which I paid $1400 for and so far it has been a great little car... Although I am about to make an 1100 mile drive in it, so we shall see how it holds up to that... lol

99 Nissan Maxima, 80,000 miles.

I love it

really?
for the same price i got a 2006 Chevy Aveo with only 35,000 miles in extremely good condition, it's no Camero but it gets good gas mileage even with my bad driving habits

you should totally put in some shag carpet all over the inside, some fancy lights and a disco ball, you'd get laid in a heartbeat with a pimpin van like that
