at the moment i have a Vester Telecaster with the stock pickups. i love the twangy tone on the bridge pickup and the neck is quite smooth when played clean.

i am looking for a pickup that will keep its tone when distorted more than what i have, what humbucker would you recommend?

thanks guys,

James

honestly tho, my texas specials get nice and gritty. or a stacked bucker would also do the job without having to break out a router.

Is it routed for a humbucker in the bridge?

Also, if you like the twangy tone now, changing it to a humbucker (if it's currently a single) will change that.
