Hey, the title says it.

I have 200-300 to spend on a new guitar, but I would prefer to go used because I don't want to buy it this instant, I can come into a bit more money in the future, and I can get a good deal.

So...

I play metal (Devil Wears Prada, Killswitch Engage, Trivium)
Needs to be stoptail.
I would prefer a color other than black, but that's more cosmetic
HSH, HSS, or HH with coil splitting.
No paper thin or baseball bat necks, (I prefer schecter-ish necks, but would like something a bit thinner.)
24 frets.
Mahogany or alder, no basswood please xD

I planned on getting a more expensive guitar, but instead I decided to get a valveking 112 (woo!) So that gives me about 300~ for a new guitar with a bridge p'up change in both my current and future guitar.

Recommend away!

Thanks!

shcecter omen 6,epi les paul 100 maby, whats your current guitar?

Schecter Sunset Deluxe, it's a disc. model

I'm looking for 200-300 used, not new, because I actually want a step-up, not a lateral move :P

I need a new guitar for alternate tunings though, because my schecter has a floyd, and that's no fun to change.

Have you ever used a Floyd?

Changing strings is a trouble enough, and intonating them makes me want to punch babies, which is why I want a guitar for standard/drop d and a different one for D/drop c, and I need a backup for gigs.

Look around at Epiphones, for a little more cash you can get a used LP standard.

If not that, find a good HSS Squier.
Ibanez RG120
Schecter C-1 Classic
Bugera 6262 w/ Mesa Boogie Rectifier 4x12
Morley Bad Horsie Wah
Boss DD-7
Boss MT-2 (Keeley modded)

GODDAMMIT I need a G Decimator...
