My friend needs an amp. He used to be in our band, but isnt anymore. now we all have decent equipment except for him. and he has decided to join us again.

I play a Peavey Classic 30. Im the Rythm guitarist and singer.
He will be the lead guitarist.
He only has about 350 bucks and will buy used.
We are in an Alternative rock band.

what are some amps for him?
the classic 30 would be good but i dont want me and him to sound the same.
any suggestions in that price range?

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.

Just because you have the same amp, doesn't mean you will sound the same....

Different Drive Levels
Different Tone Settings
Different Guitars
Different Pedals
Different Players
Playing different parts...

etc...

And last but not least, 2 identicle amps do not necessarily sound exactly the same.
You can use different tubes/speakers...

I'd say a used Classic 30 would be a good bet.

2001 Ernie Ball Music Man Axis Super Sport
2001 MIM Standard Strat
Peavey Classic 30 112 Combo.
