I am by no means a professional musician but I'd like to record some of my playing.
I have a Squier and Epi SG. For amps: Fender 10G and MG15FX (Yeah, it sucks.)

How should I record those? Mic, included mic, line-in? Any other suggestions?

BTW, in order to save threads…
Non-anchoring fast picking on lower strings is quite hard. What am I doing wrong?

i mic'd my amp for my recording, but it was a cheap amp and a cheaper mic. the sm57 is great, but expensive. i almost bought one, but decided i wasn't serious enough about recording to invest money. micing the amp is really the best way, though.
