Nickelback - All the Right Reasons, I'm usually a HUGE NB fan, but this album just wasn't that great, IMO they tried way too hard to be heavy like Slipknot. Rockstar was probably the best track on it.
Goodness gracious me!

there are a few songs off of Chinese Democracy that are good, but the rest are just fillers really. Shame on you Mr. Rose

Also, anyone find the lyrics to the song "14 Years" from Use Your Illusion (I forget which) weird? "It's been 14 years of silence, 14 years of pain, 14 years that are gone forever and I'll never have again" = Chinese Democracy took 14 years to come out = MIND BLOWNHSHAFSKJCVNSK

Maybe shagging Mark Knopfler, but that's about it.

Just gonna say, IMO Bumblefoot > Slash in almost every way imaginable. Just listen to anything from his solo albums.

Any Foo Fighters album. You hear a single and you're like, "yeah, these guys rock!" Then you put on the album and there's that one rock song and then a bunch of femmed out ballads that are polar opposites of what you got the album for.
Demolition hands.... Got 'em!

That's how most of the good metalcore bands end up. They start out fresh and exciting then they slowly enter the land of generica.

exactly what i think regarding the new megadeth one and the newer dream theater one (a couple of nice bits)

why dont bands want to sound original now and why does all the recordings sound the same and not organic?

I know. It's sad, really. >_<
Although, granted... most metalcore was never that great in the first place.
Don't get me wrong, I love a good metalcore album, but, yeah...

I thought new Megadeth one was actually pretty damn good. More of a return to their old stuff then United Abominations.
