So I'm getting fed up with some excessive buzzing coming from my amp and I need to know if there's a way to reduce it. I'm playing an '04 Fender Strat (Mexican) through a Marshall DSL100W. The buzzing only happens when the pickup selector switch on the strat is in the 1, 3 or 5 positions. 2 and 4 come through clear as a bell. Suggestions?

That would be 60-cycle hum from the single coil pickups. In positions 1, 3 and 5, you're using the individual single coils, which do not cancel hum as a humbucker does. You may want to try shielding your pickup cavity, or a noise suppressor pedal, or noiseless single coils.
