What movie soundtracks are the most metal? One soundtrack that had a few good songs was the dracula 2000 soundtrack... bloodline, avoid the light... anyways... what is your opinion(s) on the most metal movie soundtrack?

Movies with metal soundtracks are almost always ****.

This.

The occasional metal song might work, but most movies with metal in the soundtrack usually aren't really worth watching.

A new epic and symphonic film, with moments of intentional underproduction...

Protector and Silenius in...

I'd watch this...

Now i have to watch all the Lord of the Rings movies in order

Speaking of which, orchestral soundtracks > normal music soundtracks

Orchestral Soundtracks pwnz n00bzorz

I would like to see a movie with an awesome metal soundtrack, though.
#18
It would be pretty cool, but it'd not catch on with the general public who most movies try to get in as an audience, so we're stuck with crappy commercial rock soundtracks instead
#19
Depending on the kind of film it is.

If its a high production film, then an orchestral score is almost mandatory.

Not neccessarily...

You name me a high production/concept film that dosen't have an orchestral score with maybe one song by a popstar (like for example, the Spiderman films)
#22
I was going to say Spiderman 3, off the top of my head...

It has many non orchestral songs.

But mainly orchestral, yes.

^Transformers

Transformers, both one and 2 had an orchestral score. I have them.

Spiderman, all the films, were composed by Danny Elfman/Chris Young.

EDIT: School Of Rock is neither a high production nor high concept film...

The badass animated one didn't

I have probably over 400 movie about 5 metres to the left of me, but they are obscureed by a table and chairs and I can't be arsed walking over there to pick out a movie, or several to prove you wrong.

It's honestly not worth the effort. We don't have to play this game anyway... Surely you can accept there's one big budget film out there without an orchestral score.
#30
I might be wrong but there were quite a few tracks in 300 with this metal sound to it.
"Fly with me forever high
And with these wings
We'll set the world on fire
Fly with me through scorching skies
You and I - The lie of lies"

Being a film studies student, I can tell you that out of every single big budget/high concept film i've ever seen, there hasn't been a majority of the music being non orchestral music. Like i said, a lot of big blockbusters have a lot of normal music in it. But it's mainly used as Diegetic music, with the most part of the film being orchestral.

EDIT: You're right, 300 has distorted guitars in the score.

I stand by my opinion that Summoning and Varg covering the LotR soundtrack would be the best thing ever.

The point of underground bands is their not popular or famous most of the time. Thus there is a good chance they suck.

Oh, not at all. Most of Spielberg's films would have benefitted if the orchestral score was reduced.

It's already been said, but yeah, most films which have a prominently Metal soundtrack tend to be awful.

Oh, To Die For - a brilliant black comedy - had a Nailbomb tune on the soundtrack, that's Hardcore I know, but very Thrashy hardcore.
