hi guys
i saw on a site that sells guitar pars (dont know the name of the site sry) a humbucker that exists of 2 single coil sized humbuckers, and 4 conductor, probably for coil tapping

does anyone have experience with this kind of humbuckers, and are they good?

btw the hot model of the 4coil HB's had a DC resistance of 27.5K

edit: found the pickups on wdmusic.co.uk

a humbucker is two single coils wired together in order to cancel "hum"

I dont understand youre question

EDIT: do you mean two stacked humbuckers paired up to look like one humbucker but in reality its 2?

No fire extinguisher reference, unoriginal, no Militia flamebait, disappointing.

im pretty sure i get it. Firstly im pretty sure he means a dual rail pickup such as this http://www.dimarzio.com/site/#/pickups/

What i think it is it 2 of those in a single humbucker style so it would essentialy be 4 rails in 1 pickup o.0 .

yes that's what i mean, 4 rails in 1 pickups

i really want to know what it would sound like, and 27.5k resistance is like ZOMGWTF

There's a thing called a motherbucker.

It's two single coil sized humbuckers. pretty badass. I'd wire two hotrails together if I could...

Ooh, cool Quad-Rails. Reminds me of the Zerberus Hydra II. Hm, maybe a fatter sound than even a regular 'bucker? Or more switching options? Possibly to add options to guitars with just an HXX layout?

Where would you put it? bridge, and have a single coil or another humbucker in the neck?

Or maybe put it in the bridge with nothing else, or in the middle with nothing else?

If you want to get really technical about it..

1. Grab sticks.
2. Bang sticks on drums.

I feel special! But honestly, here's a copy of one. It's basically like what everyone said, a quadrails humbucker...
