Could you tell me what you think of this song idea.

This is all raw audio. no compression, high passes, low passes, EQs, etc.

Also about the tone of the guitars, and kick drum. (We spent more time micing them.)

thanks!

Recording quality sounds good on the guitars, but the delay on the guitars is overpowering and out of time with the song - I suggest your record the guitar parts dry and then add delay during the mixing process.

Drums are also very tinny and the kick has no bass at all - what are you using for monitoring? I also recommend tuning the snare a little higher.

They're not very good monitors. They're M-Audio BX8a's i believe and are bass heavy so i tried to balance it out.

I was going for a more stacked delay with the guitar. I wanted the delay to be just a hair softer than the actual guitar volume. I tried adding the delay digitally, but it just didnt sound right. I have good delay plugins, they just didnt sound warm.
