Hey UG,
I saw this the other day and found it to be very helpful/interesting. It is all the current gear Slash (GNR, SNP, VR) is using. Maybe its important enough to get stickied and hopefully its helpful.

Dirty Sound:
One 100 watt Marshall JCM Slash 2555 Signature Model head run in parallel with one 100-watt Marshall Vintage Moder head--each driving a Marshall 4x12 straight cabinet. For extra distortion, volume and dimension during solos, Slash's tech typically kicks in the Overdrive section of an MXR/Custom Audio Electronics Boost/Overdrive pedal, and some delay from a Yamaha D1500 rack unit placed in the Vintage Modern's effects loop. Occasionally the latter amp's preamp section gets an additional volume increase via an MXR/Custom Audio Electronics Boost pedal (also in its loop)

Clean Sound:
Two 100-watt Marshall Silver Jubilee heads (modded to run KT88 power tubes) set clean, driving two Marshall 4x12 straight cabs stacked atop the two dirty cabinets. To boost the preamp signal slightly and add a hint of compression, a stereo DBX166XL compressor/gate is placed in the heads' effects loops. Chorus, reverb, and/ior tremolo can be added via a Yamaha SPX900 in the loop of one Jubilee.

Acoustic Sound:
Piezo pickup signal (from a Slash designed Guild Crossroads doubleneck) running through a Fishman Aura acoustic imaging system (typically the Aura dreadnaught pedal) set approximately 50% wet. Blended sound is furhter "warmed up" by an Ampeg SVT-MP tube preamp before getting sent to the mixing console.

Wireless:
Four Lectrosonics R400A receivers, 14 Lectrosonics 50mW IM belt pack translators.

Wah: Rack-mounted Fasel-inductor-loaded Dunlop Crybaby Slash Wah.

Epiphone Les Paul Standard w/ SD Alnico Pro II's
Fender Aerodyne Telecaster & Stratocaster

Cool story

Very well known is Slash's Rig, many people hhave tried to emulate it in one form or another and have gotten quite close with other amps/software programs. But there is only one Slash and even though Velvet Revolvers stuff was rubbish after the second album in my oppinion, He will always be a great guitarist
