When I was a child, I looooved The Brave Little Toaster, but one of the most terrifying experiences of my childhood was having to run behind the couch and hide when this scene from the movie would come on:

When I was 7ish I would be scared of the loud noise of flushing toilets in public restrooms, I'd flush it and sprint out the door.

i was terrified of looking under my bed when i was little b/c of a dream i had. i dreamed that i looked under there and got grabbed by a shadow and pulled into hell. it was scary. and i was like 4 or 5 at the time

I was absolutely terrified of the Are You Afraid of the Dark intro when I was a kid
I never actually saw any part of the show besides the theme, but the part where the match goes out and the creepy music starts playing always scared me completely ****less
I could not stay in the room while it played

You may not have heard of it but it was some PS1 game, perhaps it was dad's because a 4 year old would sure as hell not buy this ****, called Heart Of Darkness. I've still got it here somewhere with the rest of my PS1 games. That game was horrifying.

I can't believe no-one has said this: ghosts. I kind of knew they didn't exist but still had the doubts that came with not knowing enough about reality. Fantasy and reality gets mashed up when you're a kid, I think.
