There have been some great albums this year with more to come, but if I had to pick a favorite so far, I'd say Priests of Sodom by Cannibal Corpse. Or maybe Metal Metal Land by Gwar. It's hard to decide.

Something off Crack the Skye by Mastodon, or Porcupine Tree's The Incident. Maybe Flicker or The Last Baron.

USoE didn't really show what the album was made of, at all. And the sample from iTunes weren't that great either; you have to listen to the whole album to fully appreciate it.

I had the opposite reaction. USoU made me go "**** yeah!!!". Then I heard the album as a whole and thought "well that was the most apathetic piece of garbage I've heard from Muse".

Uprising was pretty irritating, and very, very similar to Battles' Atlas, imo. Undisclosed Desires was quite dissapointing. After that, USE, and the previews, I just gave up hope.

I did like USE though, however much it sounded like Queen and Dream Theater at times.

Well adaknow. Not everyone's going to like it, unfortunately, but when I listened to songs like Resistance, MK Ultra, and Redemption, I thought to myself "I really like these, and I know in a few weeks time after listening to them hundreds of times, I'm going to be in love with them". Plus, I suppose it greatly depends on their live performances also, especially at the O2 Arena (which I'm attending ).

You're all wrong. Resistance sucks. Exogensis sucks. And anyone who likes the album should feel bad, because they are a bad person.
#37
new LOG, new CKY, new AIC. all the others have already been mentioned.
#38

EDIT: Thank you Altered_Carbon, how did I forget Yeah Yeah Yeahs?
