So today, while heading to guitar center to look at new keyboards i posted this on twitter.

“going to guitar center after school to drool over the Korg x50 and the microKorg and to look at new amps as well”

When i got back, i checked my myspace and found a message from a guitar center. Weird right? it reads as follows.

"Hello,

Guitar Center is creating a series of testimonial print ads around actual user Tweets. We may be interested in using your post:

• Keithlecher “going to guitar center after school to drool over the Korg x50 and the microKorg and to look at new amps as well”

Can you let us know if you would be interested in participating?

Please let me know and I can send details. We're on a tight deadline. This ad will appear in Keyboard, Recording, and other musician magazines. And we'd be happy to offer you a gift card for participating.

Cheers,
Scott
*********@guitarcenter.com"

I just replied that i was interested, and requested more information.

what are the pits thoughts?

Nah. It's useful. You can find out about secret shows and stuff your favourite band might be releasing on myspace and tours that they'll be doing before anyone else.

The celebrities who use it for chat get on my nerves though.

Back on topic, go for it dude. What have you got to lose?

Twitter is good for know about bands, but not about random people. The somebody interested in that person's whereabouts will probably jsut ask them in person or on MNS or something.

Conclusion: Twitter sucks
