basically i bought an agile septor 7 string, and the wiring had totally been ripped out, so that EMGs could be fitted and also a killswitch, this is perfect except that when the tone knob goes above roughly 70% it cuts out, when its at 70% though its like its on full tone,

the seller did tell me that it was a bit dodgy (the tone knob that is) so im not blaming him, but i was just wondering whether it would be a quick and easy job to fix, if its hard then i wont bother

also a stupid question

my other two guitars have shark fin inlays, this has no fret markers, what sort of stickers do u suggest to just mark the 1st 3rd 5th fret etc

much appreciated

tone pot: replace it. 5 dollar job, real easy, real quick.

stickers: you can find vinyl stickers on ebay and other sites if you google them.

good luck!

Before you do any electronics work, make a drawing of what was connected where.
1.Unsolder all wires and the cap from the pot.
2. Take the knob off the pot.
3. Take the pot out.
4. put the new pot in, and solder everything back up.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

Don't put stickers on it. The unmarked fretboard is really nice.
