In this thread, post things that you think people should check out, but most people haven't heard of. Obscure TV shows, bands, games, whatever. Come in here if you want to expand your horizons. Links and pictures are mandatory.

In music, I suggest that everyone take a listen to Anamanaguchi. They're a 4 piece band from New York that plays amazing music with an actual NES on stage. I saw them a few weeks back, they're incredible. http://anamanaguchi.com/

As for games, I highly suggest that all of you check out Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden. give it just 5 minutes, and I guarantee you'll get hooked. It's hilarious, and you will laugh, cry, and then laugh, in just the first five minutes. By a small-time game developer called Tales of Game's studios. http://www.talesofgames.com/barkley/ It's a SNES style RPG and it's extremely good. Free for download too.

Basketball: Illegal in the future.

Other things that you should all definitely check out:

Jerkcity:

Iron Savior: Great power metal band, anyone who considers themselves a fan of power metal should check these guys out.

British UGers - Check out "Shooting stars" on BBC 2! Great show, if a lil bit surreal.

Also, I really recommend that you check out some industrial power noise if you're feeling a bit fed up. It's just drumming! And percussive noises!

Ibanez RG570
Fender MIA Strat (in black, HSS)

this thread mentioned modern warfare 2, so there for:
GAAAAAAAAAAAY

It's not gay if you say "no homo", though.

Also, everyone should check out Voodoo Economics, they're sort of Industrial music, but with a tad more meat to it.

I'd recommend the songs "Hum" and "In The Next Place, Cement Will Float Like Trees" from the Nighttime Sabbaticals and If:Then:Imminami albums, respectively.

You can download both of their albums and their EP for free on their site, really good stuff.

I reccomend you all watch this film I was watching earlier. It's called Hounddog, and it's a drama about the life of an Elvis obsessed girl.

Pretty disturbing though. There's a distinct scene that I can't bring myself to watch. It's pretty obvious what it is when you take a look at the page I linked.

I recommend everyone to listen to This song
sometimes I see us in a cymbal splash or in the sound of a car crash

It's really horrible. Especially seeing as much as I respect Dakota Fanning. I can't stand seeing people I look up too being hurt, even if it's fake. >_<

The movie is up on YouTube in parts though. It's really good, if you just skip that scene.

After years of watching, still dont know how popular it is, Trailer Park Boys. Funny as, never gets old, second series is probs my favourite out of 7...

I watched the first two series because Ellen Page was in it.

Then I stopped. I should probably watch the others though, since it was pretty good from what I saw.
