I own a 2007 Epiphone Les Paul Standard (with the LockTone bridge and stopbar).

When I play a note on the G and B strings, the wire that holds the intonation screws in place and hooks into either side of the bridge vibrates loudly. I know this because if I hold a soft object against this wire while playing the open B or G string, the vibration stops. As soon as I let go, it resumes ringing, clear as day.

It's not audible through the amp but still quite annoying. Now before I whip out the silicon sealant, what's the proper fix here? I'd prefer not to remove the wire altogether.
