OK, so I have a MIM strat with Maple Fretboard. I also just recently got an Ernie Ball Music Man Axis Super Sport.

I just love the way MM finishes thier necks. No laquer, just sanded smooth as a baby's A** and finished with Gunstock Oil and Wax.
This makes an awesome feel to the neck. Super smooth and fast.

So I'm planning on doing that same finish on my Strat's neck.
This is part of a complete makeover for the guitar. Custom Paint job and everything.
Will post before and after pics when it's done. But it will be quite some time..

Anyway, my question is.
You can see some spots on the 2nd 3rd and 7th frets (why I included the pic), that there are spots where the maple is turning green. There's a couple small spots of that on the back of the neck as well.

Is there anything I can do to get rid of that and possibly make the fretboard look cleaner ?

Thanks in advance.
