UG Backing Track Collection Thread

Alright, so here’s the deal. Zanas put me in charge of running some submission threads for our epic Backing Track Band.

UG Backing Track Band
Good job to all those who have submitted already. They sound great.

If you are still interested in making any, here are the requirements.

Requirements:

Zanas’ end goal is to have a widget on the homepage so you don’t have to keep finding the band site...Unless you have it bookmarked like me, then this shouldn’t be a problem. However, it will be much more convenient.

Here is a list of users willing to record if you need any help recording an instrument.
Collaborate! Work together! PM each other! Help each other out! Everyone needs help from time to time. If you need an instrument recording, find someone who can help. This project isn’t only for submitting awesome backing tracks...It gives you a chance to get to know other UGers that you don’t know very well.

            Awesome.

Maybe you think we can use a collaboration site to help with the collab process?
            such as : (google)

            Indaba music
            tune rooms
            kompoz
            mixmatchmusic

            ?
i haven't reall used any of those but i saw them in Wired. so yeah
            I love backing tracks XD.

Why bother? We have plenty enough talent right here at UG.
            #7
I'm happy to mix and master anything if that helps.

I'm also making my own, as per the last thread.

Add me to that list of people willing to record. I already submitted a track, and I offered to record for others.

I'd be willing to check to make sure everything's listed in the right key, because I've noticed that a few are incorrect.

And if I have any free time, I'd love to make a backing track.

            Not what i meant XD.

I meant that the talents you speak of all go onto that and use their interface, made specifically for musical collaboration.

UG can have our own group and only accept UG members and such.

I did not mean 'ask the people on those sites for help'.

            ya diiiig?

Please do. People like me who don't know theory enough to figure it out and just play by ear don't know what key is waht. I just know where my fingers go when something sounds like "HMMMMMMMMM HaH HMMMM HMMM"

            Alright, I found one.

Funk in A Major is actually in A Minor.

            The rest seem correct.

I've nearly finished a metalcore one in b minor. I just need to find someone with a bass around campus so I can add some and then it'll be done. Where exactly do I submit these to be put on the page anyways? I wanna submit my grindcore one too.

I'd just like to say this is the greatest idea ever
I finally decided to go ahead and jam to some of these tracks and sure enough I broke my high E pulling out a huge bend before I finished the third track I was jamming to (specifically the Chicago Blues in Em one)
I'll be checking back all the time and jamming to these, and if anyone cares, I think we could use some more blues and jazz tracks, cause those are the funnest to jam to in my opinion... Keep up the good work

Well... I could do any (good) piano and guitar. PM me for more
I plan to do a backing track once a get EZdrummer in a week or so. Probably some progy stuff like Mastodon/ dream theater.
Am I allowed to do EZdrummer for the drum track?

Hey man, I won't be able to put any tracks together now since my computer is bust but I will be getting a new one in a few months. I'm pretty good at putting together drum + bass tracks.

Also, is there any way I can download those backing tracks? I promise to give credit where it's due.
I've gotten a lot of LOLs in my time but I choose not to sig them to not look like a pretentious douchebag

I would ask that you do not record them in Audacity. Make a request of the user who created the mp3 that you want. It's their material, they should give you permission.
