Hey everyone,
Im in a band that plays music in the Green Day/Papa Roach range and I also love playing metal at home,, Im currently borrowing a Boss Metal Zone from a friend but I need to buy a pedal. Does anyone know of good pedals with similar tone to that, preferably from different companies, (Im trying to branch out ;p)

DigiTech Hardwire TL-2 if your budget is small.

With a bit more money, there's the Tech 21 SansAmp GT-2, the Radial Tonebone Hot British, or a Keeley modded MT-2...

There's really no such thing as a GOOD metal pedal. The best metal tones come straight from amps. BUT, if I had to choose I would say the EHX Metal Muff. The top boost in it is a pretty awesome feature. I used to have one until I got my Crate VTX 350 head.

digitech hardwire metal distortion
or
Electro harmonix metal muff

i think if you are going to go digitech, its worth saving for a hardwire one, ive heard great things. A cheap distortion will sound muddy and have no playing dynamics.

and also, to Raijouta, that thing sounds so sexy!
ho can i get that/make it

I'm pretty sure it's a Dr. Boogie under a different name...

Ibanez SM-7....don't even think about flaming that post until you try this pedal.
I've bought, sold, and traded more gear than I care to admit.
