Ok, so i now realize that when i crank my amp, my distortion sounds flabby. Any ideas of how to tighten it up, without getting new pedals? IE, eqing... etc.
My rig is:
Jackson DXMG or Schecter C-1->Boss MD-2->Digitech RP-250 (for eq and reverb) ->Epiphone Pathfinder
I play Thrash, prog, and death metal, and some deathcore.
(metallica, death, exodus, etc)

some people like their distortion like they like their goatse, nice and flabby.

Just cut out the mids, less level on pedal. can't really give more advice

If you're only using your RP-250 for EQ and reverb I'd say you wasted your money on it, haha. But that's just my opinion.

Turn down the bass?

I'll try that.
This distortion has a crapload of bass...

I meant that's what i mainly use it for. I use the effects too...

EDIT: Wow, i increased the level on the dist pedal, and it sounds so much better...
But thanks anyways, guys.
