I'm thinking of testing then buying a digitech whammy, but before I get all excited... how does it work? Can you select scales and major/minor keys? How do I switch the harmony on and off and how do I switch the whammy (effect) on and off? Thanks.

Looked at demos, no real help.

Any veteran users of the whammy?

The harmonies select intervals. Both the harmonies and the whammy are switched on and off through the button beside the treadle.

Any way to set... like... E minor thirds (Master of Puppets) or straight fifths? (Raining Blood)

Well, not exactly E minor thirds, but I'm pretty sure straight fifths can be done. I don't use the Harmony section of my Whammy that much (that's not what I bought it for) if you want a truly good harmoniser, check out something like the EHX POG.

Can it just control Minor thirds OR major thirds? Is it always in C?
