Generally guitars in the ESP LTD range that are 400 and above are good guitars.

I tried the EX-401 and I can say I was impressed. I just hated the neck.

p only paid half if i dont like it guitar center will have to return it to esp i north hollywood. this is a 24 fret neck not 22 and its the same as an mh-401 there sick.

I wasn't saying I hated the number of frets, I was saying I hated the thickness. I prefer thinner necks, though I could have gotten used to it if I played it more.

the neck on my mh-1000 is just as thin or thinner than my jackson roads . the v-401dx has the same neck profile as my mh-1000 thin u shaped neck. maybe your not fond of esp ltd axes.
