Hello guys, I am a bass player, but I stopped playing when I left my last band, and went back to playing strictly acoustic. I am looking to get a bass to join a band, and have roughly 300 to spend on one. What are some good choices for bass for hardcore and metalcore type style?
My gear:
-OLP MM2
-OLP practice amp 10w
-Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky Strings
-1.14 Everly Star Picks

This. Saving would be a good idea. But, roughly 300? Maybe an Ibanez or Squier like in the above, or a Traben. Try looking for used instruments too.

Gee aren't you glib? Warned.

To the TS, I would save up a bit more and expand your search to include used basses. For a bit more, you can get a nice used SR or similar bass.

Do you still have an bass amp?
