Rock yes, but metal is iffy.
If you want a similar amp with more gain, look into the Blackstar HT5.

Get it for classic rock maybe classic metal like Randy Rhoads at a push. Don't for anything modern.

the HT5 also doesnt have enough gain for metal. Youll need to get a different amp or a pedal
