I have a Gibson SG STYLE (its a knockoff) body, and a 24 fretted BC Rich Neck. I have looked up on the Gibson site and it says the neck angle has to be 3.0 degrees. How should I conect them? Construct a shim out of wood and bolt it on or use the shim again and glue it on?

Also, what difference does it make between the two?

It isn't a gibson though. Just bolt the neck on without a shim, if it plays well, has nice sustain, intonation, etc. If you use any glue, you won't be able to get if off.

The neck since its a BC Rich (mine anyway) is meant to be bolted onto a Floyd Rose; so no Neck Angle. It is the straightest piece of wood I have ever seen as a neck, and I spoke to a guitar luither and he said a shim is the way to go. But bolt on you say?
