I think this belongs here, wasn't too sure.

My band's playing at a party Friday, and we shall be using a mixer. Problem is, no one knows how to use it. Can someone explain?

It might be nice to know what kind of mixer you have, for starters.

you should be able to figure out how to hook everything up fairly easily, there are many ways you could do things, but basically, you need the mixer, if it is not powered then I believe you need an amplifier to complete the pa system, but I could be wrong, but basically, microphones go into the mixer, you can mic the giutar amps if they are not loud enough, on most mixers you have volume for each channel, 2-4 band eq, and panning for each channel, then you have master volume for all channels, you play around with those until it sounds good
