i would like to learn a song that has challenging chords and chord changes. I don't mind if it is a finger picking song as long as the chord are a challenge. i would perfer it be something i can find tabs for.

wonderwall is not hard enough, plus most of the tabs for it really suck. also opeth is cool but i was thinking of something that could challenge the chord theory a little. Harder then tears in heaven is probably good.

Try Asturias. If you can play that in it's entirety,

If you want challenging chords, learn a song that's played on piano, and apply it to guitar note-for-note. It makes life really difficult. Or include the melody, I was doing that with Miss Misery by Elliott Smith and I had to include some far out switches.

Days of Wine and Roses by Wes Montgomery has some fun shapes too.

thats a pretty good idea actually because the chords will probably be hard as well as the theory being interesting.

Try St. Patrick's Day by John Mayer. It's a fairly tricky song to play. Despite what you may think about the man, he is actually a very solid guitar player.

so true but i can honestly say i lost a lot of respect for him recently. His last single was terrible crap.

"Michelle" - The Beatles?

Some of the chords in that were pretty akward I thought. For example:

e|--4--
B|--4--
G|--1--
D|--1--
A|--3--
E|--1--
I think that's right. Something like that.

That is much to challenging
he said a little harder than "tears in heaven"

But your right Paco de lucia's songs are just a little harder than eric clapton

Try The Drapery Falls by Opeth. It has lots of different chord shapes, especially the intro. I wish I could stretch my fingers long enough to play it, it sounds so awesome .

Woman- wolfmother.
the chords themselves aren't hard, but going from the chords to the other bit of the riff is tricky to get right.
??? Fund: cba to keep up with it.
