So, the other night my friend snapped my G string after I told him not to get my guitar (I had a party & put my guitars away), because he's a dick...

So I have a couple of extra strings lying around, then most suited one would be an Ernie Ball 18p string, but would it be okay to use for a G?
I think the set I have on my acoustic now are 11's, & wasn't sure if the 18 would be okay or not?

Thanks!

Your first course of action should be to punch your friend in the penis

I have a feeling I did later on... But answers??!

By the way, I will be gettin' new strings soon cos I needed them anyway, but until then I need a substitute

Why don't you run to the store to get new strings instead of wondering what could be a valid replacement?

Because it'll be Saturday before I can get there

If you have 11s the g is normally 22 and the b is 15 so the 18 would probably do as a stopgap.

Oh I guess I'm privileged with a guitar store like 5 mins from my place then.. Sorry..

18 is ok. A bit lighter but I suppose you'll change your strings eventually anyway.
