Im thinking of getting a new set of humbuckers for my epiphone sg special. The original ones are 2 Epiphone Open-coil Humbuckers. I was thinking of getting dean or gibson upgrades but not sure. You got all the spec with different cables, magnet and DC Resistance. Not sure what else there is, advice on what to look for and the difference between types would be appricated

dean pickups arent great.id reccomend dimarxzio or SD

The stock pickups aren't that terrible, they just lack a bit of top-end clarity IMO. What's your amp and what tone are you going for?

man if u want the best pickups out there in my opinion i would go for Dimarzio or Bare Knuckle Pickups

Roland 15x mostly and also have a 38x but only for band stuff. I like to get the tone of angus young or rory gallagher.
