Hey, I've been having this problem for awhile now. A awhile ago, I went to Guitar Center with my Yamaha FGX730SCA Acoustic-Electric guitar hoping to get a strap lock installed near the neck of my guitar. The employee told me that the positioning of the wood near the neck makes it hard to install a strap lock. Is there a way around this? He said there wouldn't be enough room, but I really want a strap lock installed there.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE REPLY AND HELP ME?

Acoustic guitars essentially never get strap locks. It's EXTREMELY rare to have a guitar fall off at the neck button. The one at the back is more likely to fall off, but even then there is no lock for that one either. Especially for acoustic-electric guitars since the 1/4" jack doubles as strap button in most cases.

Look at Dunlop Strap locks, they cost less than $10 and work on just about all strap buttons.

I wouldnt go without a straplock on an electric either, but acoustic guitars are VERY different.
