I have this speaker cable that has been sitting in my basement for years, hooked up to a Peavey bass amp head and cab which no longer works (I don't know what's wrong with it, never looked much in to it). I took it out and checked the jacks, the connections are solid. But I just wonder what I can do to test this cable before connecting it to the new head and speaker, since the Peavey doesn't work, and if I can't do anything to test it is there any way it could damage my head if it doesn't work and I use it?
